Hey there! I'm Ashwan, the founder of 18Glowup, and I want to share with you the story behind our brand—a journey that started from a place of nostalgia, discovery, and love for natural skincare.
Let’s start with our name, 18Glowup. Remember being 18? It’s a time many of us look back on with a certain fondness—a carefree era when life was just beginning to unfold and, most importantly, our skin seemed to be at its best, glowing with health and vitality. At 18Glowup, we wanted to capture that timeless feeling of radiant, youthful skin and make it a reality for you every single day, no matter your age. Our goal is to bring back that glow without relying on harsh chemicals or complicated routines.
Everything we create is ethically sourced and organic. We believe that true beauty comes from nature, and our skincare reflects that philosophy. Our products are rooted in centuries-old wisdom, using ingredients like goat milk and donkey milk, which were beloved by ancient civilizations for their nourishing and moisturising properties. We've taken these age-old secrets and brought them into the modern world with a range of products designed to enhance your skin’s natural radiance.
18Glowup was born out of both personal experience and a passion for skin health. During my time studying pharmaceutical, I often found myself drawn to the idea of entrepreneurship but struggled to find my niche. Health and wellness had always been important to me, but it wasn’t until I saw my own brother’s struggles with severe acne that I knew skincare was my calling.
My brother, like many of us, led a hectic life, and his skin took the brunt of it. Acne breakouts affected his confidence, and he tried numerous well-known brands, but nothing seemed to work. In fact, some of these products made things worse, leaving his skin damaged and sensitive. Seeing him in that state pushed me to dive deep into skincare research, where I uncovered something truly fascinating: the healing powers of donkey milk and goat milk. These ingredients, used by our ancestors, were packed with natural vitamins and minerals that helped heal and nourish the skin without any unwanted chemicals.
I spent over a year in research and development, working closely with a chemist to formulate a donkey milk face wash that was free from unnecessary additives. The results were nothing short of miraculous—after just a week of using the wash, my brother’s skin began to clear up, and over time, he saw his acne disappear. His confidence was restored, and I knew I had stumbled upon something special.
Fueled by this success, I expanded our line of products, staying true to our commitment to using only the best natural ingredients. Today, 18Glowup offers five core products for skin and hair care: our Donkey Milk Face Wash, Goat Milk Body Wash, Face Cream, Shampoo, and Rosemary Hair Oil. Each product is crafted with the same care and attention to detail that went into that first face wash.
